Rectangular trampoline mats and pads, seem expensive

Hi there. My folks still have the Hills trampoline we grew up on newrly 30 years ago and the frame and springs are still in fantastic condition. The mat has a few tears and we'd like to replace it for Christmas for my niece.

Been looking at the cheapest mat I can find is almost $100 and the pads that cover the springs $150. That seems a bit excessive to me when comparing it to a new tramp.

Anyone got any tips on where to find a replacement more suited to the ozbargainer price range. It seems rectangular ones aren't in favour. Round mats and pads are cheap on Catch Of The Day but can't seem to find a bargain for the rectangular.

Cheers

  • supply and demand really. If you go into stores, they mostly all sell round trampolines rather than rectangular ones. Try Aliexpress or ebay

  • That price is reasonable I think. We have just taken our old Hills big bouncer apart and taken it to the tip. Hills do not sell replacement parts anymore, so you have to go to a different manufacturer.

We also have an olympic size trampoline (that was $2K) that we bougth from a trampoline factory at the gold coast (topline trampolines). They will supply springs and mats for any size trampoline (and we have bought replacement hills mats from there before).

In all honesty, go to kmart and buy a trampoline from there. Take the old hills one to the tip. Very sad I know, but it is going to cost way more buy replacement pads and a mat in comparison to a new trampoline from Kmart.

Oh and with Kmart, don't buy the springless, it has bad reviews, but people generally like the other ones.
