Do I need to refund overseas seller for my mistake?

Recently bought a smartphone and phone case

Smartphone arrived but phone case did not

Asked for a refund on phone case after no movement escalated it to email

Gave a wrong order number on the email sent to them

Overseas seller refunded me for the smartphone

I informed them of my mistake and then transferred the money back through their suggested method ($200)

However it seems due to transaction fees the amount they received is ($194)

Should I refund the extra $6 or leave it as is?

leave it. you should be out of pocket from their mistakes.

You're telling us it's YOUR mistake. If you really think it's your mistake, then just pay the $6 and make it right.

If you don't think it's your mistake, then send them a screenshot of the $200 amount you've sent to them via their method and leave it.

    • my mistake was requesting a refund on the wrong item

      • So if you feel it's not your fault anymore, then send them a screenshot of your $200 payment and leave it.

        It's really only $6.00.

Leave it. The extra $6 you transfer will also incur $6 transfer fees.

  • If the $6 is a problem, the company will raise it with you? Maybe they will just take the $6 off the phone case refund?
