Where to Buy a Leather Lounge?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a leather lounge, probably a modular 5-6 seater with chaise.
Looking to spend around $3k but obviously, less would be better ;-)

I've been looking for a good while on Gumtree etc. and I can't find anything suitable.
I'm in Canberra - any advice would be welcomed - on where and where not to go.

Thanks.

Lounges? My goodness, what an idea. Why didn't I think of that? Lounges! Patmccroth, there's four places.
There's the Lounge Hut, that's on third.
    There's Lounges-R-Us, that's on third too.
You got Put-Your-Butt-There. That's on third.
    Sit Low, Sweet Chariot… Matter of fact, they're all in the same complex;
it's the Lounge complex on third!

I got a 2 year old, six seater, genuine top grain leather for $500 on Gumtree. Saw it in store and it's selling for 10k. I vote Gumtree.

    • I too love Gumtree but I've been looking daily for 6+ months. The problem is I know what I want!

  • Franco Cozzo has great leather sofas but the style is distinctly Franco Cozzo https://www.chelseacleaning.co.za/sites/default/files/upload…

or for a more modern style, but depending on how many people you have over…

    • Ugh! Will match any decor, too!

  • I doubt you would be able to get a brand new quality/real leather lounge for that cheap.

    • Thanks John, it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of where.
Could spend more if I find what I want.

      • We like our King lounge. Are they in Canberra?

We couldn't afford leather, but they do have them. Obviously never pay full price they always have sales like Kathmandu. You can sometimes get floor stock on good discount too, but obviously have to be happy with any blemishes/issues.

        • Yep there's one here. Beautiful lounges, but not for me.

  • Imo instead of a chaise get a terminal

  • Plush have 50% off now. I find the quality good

  • Personally I suggest you match your leg and back needs.
Firm or a bit soft base and back, is the arm rest wide and on a good angle to have a snooze without a pillow.

Is there a Nick Scali in the Canberra region? or equivalent?
I forgot the brand, easily a 5k 4 seater and recliner, in top condition for $1200 via ebay. with a ottoman.

Like the sound of that eBay option if you think of it!
My wife called me from Nick Scali (Canberra) the other day and said she found a great lounge for $6k. I said "Let's get it when they have their next half price sale" and she responded "This is the half price sale!".
