  • Any thoughts from one who are using similar bike, looking forward to grab one this weekend ?

    • Not sure where you're grabbing one from in MEL as there doesn't appear to be stock at any store. Certainly is available online but shipping of $59.95 is steep.

      • Yes was considering visiting one of nearest store in Mel North, isn,t the delivery free for above $150 order. Though will prefer to have a look before purchasing

        • It's a bulky item hence shipping always applies. And good luck finding stock in store.

        • @carlenet:

Not available in any stores around MeL :(

    • Great bit of kit. Buy one!

  • Only 2 sizes available, XS and XXS

    • the XXS frame is fine and still feels big for myself though im 166cm only.

      • I am 167 cm. Shoukd i go with xxs or xs ?

Any difference if make or female?

Really want to get the bike but not sure about sizing.

  • no discs ….. but but least carbon forks.

xs … might get one for my 10 year old.

    thks

Well i spent too long creating a detailed post so mine was a duplicate, so i'll just add in my info for anyone looking.

Yes, only sizes XXS and XS available, but as mentioned in the previous deals the older Boardmans run large (see 'Air' on this chart). I generally ride a small to medium (172cms with a quite short inseam of 76.5cm), and bought the XS which i measured a 50cm seat tube length and 52cm top tube length. It was an absolute steal for $500, but for $374.95 it's a no-brainer if you're short to average height and in the market for a road bike.

    Other tips to note:
    - 3.5% back at Cashrewards
    - bring it down another $10 by finding someone with an Entertainment Book membership to get a $100 evoucher for $90 (Rebel site will only take one code unfortunately)
    - comes with Shimano R500 wheels not the R20/ Mavic CXP22s that are stated

  • Great bike for the money. Watch out for the sizing though. They are larger than you might expect, so if buying online, google the size guide first. I’m 170cm and use a S but could probably fit an XS.

Great post OP. This is an absolute bargain. Equivalent bikes in well known brands are around $1,000

  • any recommendation for pedals? thanks

  • when I weight my XXS one it's roughly 9.5KG the 8.5KG is weight without peddles and barely anything. I assume not reflectors etcs.

  • For any short people this might be a good bike to setup permanently on a wahoo kickr or home trainer to save putting your main bike on and off the trainer.

  • +1

    Gosh damn
I'm tempted to buy a second at this price, just because it's so cheap. Got mine at the $600 mark from one of the Amart deals, would definitely recommend.

  • Its disappointing not available in any store within Melbourne !!

  • No more xs for delivery.

  • Forgive me for highjacking this thread - but can anyone comment generally on the other "Flight" or "Nitro" bikes sold by Rebel. I realise they're not top quality/priced bikes or supposed better Local Bike Shop quality - but wondering if they're gonna last at least 2 years or so without falling apart and whether my LBS may just be selling me perceived quality with enhanced pricing.

Thinking of picking up a MTB for myself and the kids and at $300 odd each they're certainly better value than my LBS.
And how do these compare against the Anaconda Fluid brand?

  • the rebel specs are wrong…actual specs: (lifted from wiggle)
