Ceiling Speaker System - Suggestions Please

I have looked online through google, searched on gearbest / banggood etc and cant seem to come across a decent system to use as a 'speaker setup' for installation into the ceilings of a double storey house under construction.

There is the opportunity now to hide the wiring while the house is being built, any suggestions (wired and/or wireless too) will be of great help. I have generally searches using terms like ceiling audio system bluetooth etc.

Ideally, the speakers should be able to stream audio through bluetooth - intention is to have a couple of speakers on ground level and a couple on the next level.

The idea is to give the common areas of the house a 'hotel-like' feel through playing of soothing sounds etc.

It doesn't need to connect to the TV nor has to be top of the line audio quality and it is not intended to be run as a home entertainment system. Budget level will be fine as long as it doesnt break in a year or so.

If it has additional features of turning specific speakers on or off either electronically or through a switch on the speaker itself, it will be a good bonus.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions

  • The idea is to give the common areas of the house a 'hotel-like' feel through playing of soothing sounds etc.

Maybe I don't get out much, but what hotels do this and what does "soothing sounds" sound like?

  • I thought about the same idea then I realized its not practical, not everyone in the house like your crappy old/new music. This will give you a feeling of you in a shopping center than in a hotel :)

    • Did you come across any solutions though that might work? Still struggling to solve this

      • Yep my solution was Sony XB-20 Portable Bluetooth speaker.

If you still want to pursuit your mission,
buy few of them and connect to a system that support bluetooth
https://au.yamaha.com/en/products/audio_visual/speakers/ns-i… which gives you good rich sound.
I don't think you can get a ceiling speaker with Bluetooth/wireless, then you need to power them.
