I am trying to go to Tokyo in Late December and return early January using KrisFlyer miles. I know it is an extremely busy time and that there are hardly any flights available.
Right now I'm waitlisted on a few different Singapore Airlines flight options from Perth <> Tokyo/Hiroshima/Fukuoka.
Any tips from anyone who has gone through the waitlist process with KrisFlyer to increase my chances of actually getting these flights? I know my chances are pretty slim this time of year but I figure I would do everything in my power if I can.

The only thing that'll increase your priority in the waitlist is frequent flyer status (particularly PPS Solitaire or PPS). Apart from that, you have a higher chance if you're alone than if you have several people on your booking…
From experience if your waitlisted flight isn't confirmed within a few days, then it'll only be confirmed (if it is), very close to departure.
