Where is the best place to buy a Xiaomi phone from please? Taking into account price and if the phone needs to be returned. Possibly looking at a Redmi Note 4X.

Shopmonk. Well priced compared to the others and extremely quick to deliver via DHL. It took 4 days for mine to arrive!

I can tell you where NOT- Geekbuying. Warranty cover is non existent.
I've purchased with vickmall before with no issues, but didn't have any warranty claim, so can't comment on that.
Purchase the phone through a reputable seller e.g GearBest, and yes some may not agree, I have no reason to complain with my experience purchasing from them. Plus, you have an official rep on ozb if you need any help.
Make sure you are paying with PayPal and activate the free returns program offered by them, in case you are required to pay the return postage.
Ebay, but at least with a 10% off sitewide voucher otherwise not competitive. 15-18% and you are smiling, like I was.
Have used two HK sellers, 4-6day delivery via courier, PM me if you need they're id's.
