I am looking around for a new monitor under $250 that I can use for a tiny bit of productivity but more gaming (for a Mac and PS4) and here are my requirements -
At least 2x HDMI ports (Its ok if it has one I can use a HDMI splitter for a second monitor)
VESA Mountable
IPS Display
Under 27"
Slim bezel
I found this for $200, how is it?
I would have bought something else, or at least a 2560x1440
Can consoles even run 1440p at decent framerates?
I only wanted 1440p because it makes it clearer when I'm reading text on my monitor. I personally don't care about 1440p for gaming.
Consider issues of displaying non-native resolutions (i.e. 1080p output from PS4 displayed on a 1440p monitor).

I personally have an Acer G257HL which I use as a secondary monitor for my mac, and my PS4. Fairly decent monitor but my only small complaints are: no height adjustment, no VESA, 1 HDMI input, the stand isn't flat so I can't store stuff there, flimsy as heck, and horrible speakers. In hindsight, I would have bought something else, or at least a 2560x1440 because the pixels are definitely noticeable when it's next to my Macbook Pro Retina.
