I was looking for some protein samples as they don't always agree with me and stumble across this freebie. A mate of mine recommends 'WPC' as a good brand after trying a few others, so might be worth a try?

    WPC = Whey Protein Concentrate = not a brand.

      As esq mentioned WPC & WPC are different products, with different purposes.

      Here are a couple of videos from the guys I buy mine from.. this might help explain which one you want.

      In most cases if it's for building muscle WPI is more effective.

        WTF? Neither is more 'effective' at muscle building. One just had the fat and carbs stripped and is more pure, meaning it can fit into your daily macros better.

        • Fair call, however in the case of the two products above stripping out the additional fat and carbs means there is actually more protein per serve.

          More protein per serve, usually means more effective.

  • Are these flavoured?

    • No.

  • Would be nice to let the non-bodybuilding nerds know what WPC/WPI means.

      WPI= whey protein isolate

      WPC's are usually about >70% protein wherelse WPI usually has a minimum 90% protein content, so yeah like what h4lcyon said, you're getting more protein per serve for WPI.

  • WPC is a more slow releasing form of protein and is ideal for taking before a workout, after a workout, or just as a shake on it's own, say, as part of breakfast to continue repairing muscle tissue (from a workout the previous day or so)… SO it's a good all round protein.

    WPI is a quick releasing protein blend which is generally used POST workout. It is a lot more effective than concentrate in the 40 or so minute period after a workout where your body is highly receptive to amino acid intake (protein). Though for other times, such as a quick meal replacement or pre workout, concentrate is a better alternative as carbs in the blend provide instant energy.
