Any thoughts on DOOGEE MIX 2 5.99 Inch Facial Recognition 6GB RAM 64GB ROM Helio P25 Octa-Core 4G for AUD$270.36 @BangGood

This seems to be a good deal.

I usually use either iPhone or Samsung Galaxy, but with the price keep going up and up I wonder if it's really worth it or not.

This is about a quarter of the price of S8 and about a fifth of the cost of iPhone X. Is it really worth paying the top dollar for it? I hardly use any of the Samsung additional apps these days, so just the standard Android is enough.

I have never used Doogee before, but seems to be reasonably good value.

the CPU seems like the biggest problem for me….
      2.5GHz MediaTek Helio P25 octa-core processor
with a geekbench score of 800 single amd 3800 multicore it seems like crap.

      while the S8 is
      2000 single and 6500 multicore

the phone will last 6 months at best.

      • Comparing a $200 phone to a $800 phone. No wonder the S8 is heaps better :/

i think its well worth the iPhone or SGS not a dooogeee phone

      • The P25 is pretty similar in performance to the Qualcomm 625 - which is used in things like the moto G5, Zenfone 3, Oppo R9s, etc. It's not as good as, say, the Exynos 7420 that was in the Galaxy S6, but it's close or better in some benchmarks. Basically, it's more than enough for a phone for general use.

I bought a sub 200 Xiaomi and now Samsung, Sony and Apple are dead to me.

  • I used to have a Doogee Latte. It was pretty fun to own to tell people the name. It also had a Doogee start up animation and long 5-8s music track each time you turn it on/off.
Besides those useless tidbits, I can't help :P.

  • Be careful of the dual camera claims of (some) Chinese smartphone brands.
