Optus Perks Hoyts Movie Tickets No Longer Earning Hoyts Rewards Dollars

I always buy Hoyts tickets through Optus Perks, and it used to earn me Hoyts Rewards dollars too.
But I recently found that I no longer receive Hoyts Rewards dollars from my Optus Perks Hoyts ticket purchases.
Want to know if anyone else is having the same issue?

Looks like they raising the prices (AGAIN)

Note: From 1 November 2017 Optus Perks tickets to HOYTS cinemas will be $12.00 for adults, $9.50 for kids and $27.00 for HOYTS LUX (+$3.00 booking fee). Recliner cinema charge will remain at $3.50.

This deal is getting worse and worse. Prices have gone down at cinemas recently but optus keep jacking their price up? $12 +$3 for Xtremescreen + $3.50 for recliner chairs at chatswood that we have no choice to not use all adds up to $18.50m which is what HOYTS CHARGE!

there is no more "perk" with optus and hoyts, what crap!

    • What I usually do is wait till the movie is in its 3rd or 4th week of showing, and then there will usually be sessions that are non Xtremescreen. But recliner chairs surcharge is difficult to avoid because they usually upgrade the whole cinema. Glad that Melbourne Central is yet to be upgraded so $12 movie is still possible.

      • I recently signed up with Telstra, so EVENT cinemas here i come! haha

thats what i hate the most, the consumer doesnt have a choice! im all for recliner chairs, they are amazing but surely it should be like extremescreen and you get to choose if you want them or not.

i cant believe they are charging a fee for recliners, given that when a cinema is upgraded, you have no option. They should be doing this to entice customers back, not jack up prices.

    • I got quite a surprise when my cheap tickets were $15.50, as my Cinema had it's seats upgraded to recliner.

What's the cheap way now to get tickets in Sydney? My quick look around and it seems all the bargains are gone.

Non recliner, non Xstreemscreen screen is still $12.

telstra do $12 tickets at EVENT too

  • They have removed Free Cricket Live Pass as well.

    • They've just changed the way they do this. You link your Cricket Australia account to your Optus Sports account, and you have the pass.

      • I tried but couldn't let me log in.

        • Yeah, mine was incredibly buggy. It wasn't working and it kept saying "This account is already linked" when I did it through the Browser.

I re-loaded the site, and used the Cricket Australia app and it started working.
