Cheap but Branded mountain biking gear

Hey MTBing-Ozbargainers

Apart from the usual; Chain-Reaction, Pushys, Probikekit, Mountain Bikes Direct etc. where do you buy your cheap mountain biking gear (clothing, protection, accessories). Generally with casual and sports clothing I used to use Eastbay in the US, last time I used it I accumulated a bunch of items and then it was financially viable to have it delivered to OZ and I saved a bucket load. Is there a mountain biking equivalent that is hidden away? I'm after the typical brands (Fox, 661, Alpine Stars, Troy Lee, Bell, POC etc) and am wanting to spend a few hundred on updating my gear.

Cheers

I get all my parts from the german stores mostly, I'm not sure about clothes. there's a heap of more uk stores that are pretty decent. wiggle, merlin, evans, etc.

here's a link to the german stores. they're generally much cheaper but postage is around 20 euro and it takes a couple of weeks.

    • have a look at torpedo 7. another tip would be to google the item you're looking for to see who's selling it. don't discount ebay either.

      • and if you like continental tyres have a look at pursuit sports.

    • Cheers dude !! I'll check them out.

I was looking at Ebay, they have awesome gear at cheap prices. The only problem is they have all the sizes nobody want's needs. i.e. Troy Lee Designs shorts for $50, in the sizes or colours that nobody wants lol

    • These are some pretty cool suggestions man, thanks for that ! Even pricing wise if their not cheap they are on par or a touch cheaper than what you pay here but; they will then stock a whole lot of different brands and sizes in the one spot. Most of the common stores I have been looking at locally would only stock a brand or two in crappy sizes. I'll keep scouring these websites !!

Yeah I mostly get shimano parts from the german stores. torpedo7 always seems to have cheap protective gear. This weekend there should be some pretty good sales on most of the uk and aus stores.

  • Pushys.com.au from Canberra normally has some pretty good sales on MTB gear. They will probably have their big clearout sale just after XMas, they have done for the last 2-3 years. They normally selloff clothes, parts, shoes and protection (knee/elbow pads etc). Obviously you need to be quick to get the best stuff. Sign up on their webpage as they normally give access to the sale a day ahead for their subscribers. Yesterday they had 10% off on their whole site. From time to time they have some awesome deals. I'm 95% a road cyclist so dont look at MTB stuff much but also try probikekit.
