depends if you play online then yes it is a good price, if you are an eb member you get 1.25M credit for online.

      • +1

Yeah I am going to get the 3 month gold with it. I got the email from EB so I guess I'm a member. Thx, seems a decent price even if it is old :p

  • +2

Damn, was hoping for a decent Switch deal.

  • +1

So, what is the Nintendo Amiibo? Are they games? Sorry, prob a very basic query.

    • +4

They are toys/figures with nfc chips in them that communicate with the switch and may unlock extras for games .

      • +1

Ah ok. Thanks for the reply :)

  • +4

Well at last I don't need to stay up to midnight to wait for no good switch deals :D

  • +1

Will the free game with PC accessories work online, or is it in store only

    • +1

no specifics on the email but would have to try tomorrow

    • +1

In store and online (as long as the store have stock)

  • +1

Thanks Op, hope i can score a Steam link.

    • I managed to get one ordered online albeit with $7.70 delivery to metro Sydney, because there was no store pickup option.

  • +5

I regret buying a Steam Link a year ago. They're basically giving them away now.

    • its $4 at Gamestop in USA and $5 at Steam Official website. EBgames put up a great deal compared to that. Hopefully I will get it from USA _

  • +2

I love how a refurbished iPhone 6 can still get you a very decent One plus/xiaomi/huawei.

    • +1

But its an iPhone… that is all that matters to people

  • +1

No Touch ID on the refurbished phones means they're broken right?

    • +1

Generally means they were repaired by someone other than Apple. They're the only ones that can replace the home button.

  • +2

    NO big deal

Steam link is 90% off across the world right now (~ 5 euros)

Pop on a VPN and see

    • +2

I see that it's $4 from gamestop but it's out of stock. Anywhere else?

      • +2

People in other countries can buy directly from steam

        • AU Steam refers to EBGames, if I use VPN, will they deliver to AU or US only? Also, isnt it against TOS?

  • +1

is that a good deal for GT? I love the game plus i still don't have a second controller for my PS4

    • +1

well as JB and Harvey Norman have the game for $29 tomorrow, you are getting a special edition controller for $60 so i think it is a good price

    • i would like to think so. If you dont like the controller then get one from Amazon(silver/gold/blue/black/red/camoflauge) for ~$58 and get the game from Jb Hifi/Harvey norman for $29, you make a savings of $2-$3

    • I paid $119 on release day thinking that was a great deal…

  • +1

Assassin's Creed: Origins Gods Edition worth it? or should i just get standed online for cheaper?

    • +1

compared to the deluxe edition (which is $69 tomorrow) you get a statue, artbook, and a additional dlc mission)

      • +1

yeah bu I can get the standded one online for cheaper

        • +1

how much for the standard online?

        • +1

          @vinny98: like 50

        • @vinny98: oh shit nvm, Assassin's Creed: Origins Deluxe Edition is 69 the gold is 90…. EEP ill just buy else where to much for me

    • I just bought the standded Assassins Creed Origins game for 42 on ebay. Woot lol

  • +1

Pro doesn't seem like such a good deal. Guess I'm keeping my original for a while longer.

  • +3

When the 2DS deal is dope, but you already have Mario Kart, a 2DS, and a N3DSXL. And a Switch. With Mario Kart.

    Somehow, still quite tempting.

  • +1

So with a Steam Link, do i need to buy a controller or can i use anything else?

    • +2

Can use most input devices (check online), e.g. a wired Xbox 360 controller, KB/mouse etc.

      • +2

        thank mr donnot

        • +1

          doot

        • +1

@donnot: Why would one want to play steam games on their tv? I'm trying to justify buying this lol

        • +2

@defmay: Because many of us have hundreds of quality games on Steam already. I know I do, Humble Bundle once wrung made my wallet dry.

        • +1

@silverrat23: I see, and often you can get really good deals with them. What is the reason you play them on TV though? Isn't that the only reason for this box?

        • +3

          @defmay:

For me, it's just convenient. With this, I don't have to drag my PC out of its room, set it up etc every time I want to play on a larger screen/share with the family. Or worry about setting up another PC for in-home streaming.

  • +1

Is this Nintendo Switch Deal any good?

    • +1

      anyone? please?

      • +3

It's pretty mediocre, when compared with past deals.

    • It’s not great. You can get the console only from JB Hi-Fi for $399. I don’t see what’s so great about the amiibos..anyone know??

  • +1

So… steam link basically like a chromecast / HDMI cable (except wireless from computer to TV)?

  • +2

Wait, does "EB Exclusive Collectors Editions for 50% off" mean that ALL EB exclusives are half price?

    • +3

Doubt it. These are announced so far (thanks to press-start.com.au)

    Hi all,

All I'm interested in is an Xbox One S (500g or 1TB) with COD: WW2 and Battlefront 2.

I passed on the EB Xbox One S bundle 1TB + 4 Games (Star Wars Battlefront 2, GTA V, Assassin's Creed Origins, Rainbow Six Siege) - $379) yesterday as I was told in store the deals would be better.

Will this (Xbox One S 500GB Console + Assassin's Creed Origins + Wolfenstein II + The Evil within 2 - $279.) be the only bundle from EB during Black Friday?

Plan to trade-in my Xbox One 500GB at EB games for a new bundle.

    • These are the only Black Friday Xbox one bundles
      https://www.ebgames.com.au/xbox-one/console-hardware?availab…

      • Thanks. That's really disappointing I stayed up for nothing. On the 22nd I should have bought the bundle. Xbox One S bundle 1TB + 4 Games (Star Wars Battlefront 2, GTA V, Assassin's Creed Origins, Rainbow Six Siege) - $379

  • Any deal on a Steam controller?

    • Don't think so.

    • Down to $61

  • +1

So sale is on - looks like you can't click and collect, so forced to pay shipping?

Also, Steam Link is not one of the PC accessories that gets you Wolfenstein for free :(

    • Booo. Forked the 7.80 extra anyway.

    • I got through with a click and collect for a nintendo switch case. Maybe only some items you cant?

  • Live now, just ordered a steam link

  • link for steam link please .. :)

  • Is the sale online only or in-store too?

  • +1
    • +2

      "spend over $47"
The cheapest accessory is $57 lol

    • I managed to get Wolfenstein II with purchase of a $47 mouse mat.

Although I was probably lucky as EB games were incredibly busy this morning and the sales person didn't have time to check eligible accessories.

  • Hmm, I really don't need a Steam Link at all. Think I'll just pass.

  • +1

    Server is down! OMG OMG

  • nice sale is up now

got a steam link + card but just know there's no pickup available so its +$7.70 delivered

    • Yeah so total cost minus the $20 for the steam voucher is $16.70
I passed as this is only 30cents less than what I've seen it be on sale for in store.

  • +3

    Wait, is $45 for 12month PS+ a price error?

EDIT: Lmao, they physically send you the receipt with the code on it, so you have to pay postage. What a joke.

    • Garbage lol. I thought the same thing.

  • AANNDDDDDDDDDDDDD THIER SITE CRASHED LLOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLL

    https://gyazo.com/19677fe9d9bc0723a6f0862277af2732

  • Crashed heh

  • Looks like the PS plus is discounted twice @25%. Bought 2 anyway. Pretty sure that they will honor the deal.

    • I wish they didn't post the codes out but even with the postage this seems a bargain…

  • Crashed heh

  • Ohhh EB, I love how you try.

  • +2

I keep trying to see if wolfenstein gets added when buying an accessory but it doesnt come up. Adding the game doesnt discount the price. Hope they just automatically give it to you with any of the selected mice/keyboard.

    • I'm sure if you just call them tomorrow they can probably just sort it out then.

      • Thanks, i will go in and pick up the mouse so should be no issues.

    • You have to go to a specific page for it to work. They're set up as a bundle. Not sure how it works if you want to change the game, though.

  • No click and collect? only option for steamlink is delivery

Oh boy, they have to contact a lot of people asking what free game they wanted with their free order.

    • there is NO FREE GAME with the steam link, the free game is only for select PC accessories - the steam link is not one of them.

      • Oh damn. Always thought it as a pc accessories

        • it is, however reading and understanding of the terms and conditions is more important than it being a pc accessory :)

  • +5

you can use the steam link to stream your PC desktop, not just for games - https://www.lifehacker.com.au/2017/09/use-steam-to-stream-yo…

    • +1

also you can use PS4 controller with it, you dont have to buy Steam Controller if you already have a DS4.

      guide

      • +1

Yes PS3 controllers and PS4 controllers work out of the box without any fiddling (just need to initiate with a USB cable first I believe).

  • Appears stores are empty.. of customers.

They only had 5 if the mouse and steamlink I wanted.

Just to let you know no laybays.

  • yep, just bought a second steam link because for 9 bucks who can beat that?

  • is the steam link gone ?!

    • +1

For home delivery yes. Still available for click and collect and in store purchases
