Fantastic price for an amazing game, if you haven't played this yet then you should be all over it like rash!
I think this is the lower the game has been since release for a physical copy.
EB Games have it for $47 as part of their sale.

Is buying from cdkeys safe?
Yup. Once the code is entered it's as good as buying it from Microsoft. Forza 3 works on your PC as well as xbox when you buy the digital version too.
Just tried to buy hot wheels from them. They took my money happily without creating an account, but then they wanted me to verify my phone number to get the code. The number in there by default was a generic one and I was unable to change it. Now I get this error message: The link has expired.
Dodgy as all hell. I'll be contacting PayPal to dispute and get my refund.
@soaringphoenix: Dunno. I didn't make an account with them but it let me pay without asking me for (or telling me they wanted/"needed" my phone number). Then it wouldn't let me change the number in the box.
They did refund me pretty promptly, so I'll give them credit for that much.
Still, a bad experience - I'd much rather just pay MS the extra $10 for it.
These are safeguards to prevent people from buying and reselling codes with stolen credit cards. If you put in a number that is not your own then for all cdkeys system knows you are using a stolen credit card and weren't willing to give them your real phone number to prove you aren't a scammer.
I'd create an account at cdkeys, try again, and save yourself $10.
@Scipio: I've bought games from them for years and had no issues but if you'd rather pay more for games then it is your money.

Yes the saves work cross platform.
You can switch between platforms with ease and progress carries over. If a screen comes up saying save file overlap (internet issues etc.), then think carefully and choose the right one to keep (the other will be deleted!).

FH3 has got a great car list, great open world, awesome music, all about cruising around Straya.. while F7 is serious motorsport. I know which one is more fun!

Yes
Some of the Forzathon (Weekly tasks with prizes for completing the tasks) require online play, you may miss out on a few of the tasks every few months but that's the only online requirement I know of.
@Spackbace: I thought online playing required Xbox live? At least for me it did. I couldn't join a lobby to complete some forzathon challenges without Xbox live. The online options were grayed out when I didn't have a membership.

Yep, all of FH3 can be played without online play
FH3 is single player (per console), Motorsport can have 2 players split-screen on 1 console.
Besides that, Horizon is much more fun.
