    Not "any movie to own":
"Valid for 50% discount against a movie download from eligible titles regularly priced at AUD 30 and under on Google Play."

    Big difference.
Not your fault - the name of the promotion is misleading.

    • Thanks mate! I have updated the listing!

      • I think Google got lazy and copied the title from previous promotions, which were usually labelled "any movie to own".
To be honest, I can't even get it to work on eligible movies shown there. When I click on it, it still shows full price. Did you manage?

        • yeah, I bought Cars 3 in HD for $12.50 (was $24.99)!

Had to click on the tab on the front page to accept the offer from Google Play first I think!

        • @genes888: Yes, I did that, and then go to the offer. I have changed the URL to lead directly to offer acceptance (which, when followed, leads to the page with movies). Easier this way I think.
Upvote from me, now that I got it working :)

        • You have to click on the film, the price shown in the lists is the rental price.

  • Anyone have an idea of how to download movies you have purchased onto a PC? Google says it's only possible on Chromebooks :(

Don't think you can. You can stream a movie you own through the browser but I haven't heard that there's a Windows app that supports downloads / offline a la Netflix yet.

Perhaps you could use an android emulator. Unfortunately I've never tried it so I can't recommend a specific one.

      • If Google Play doesn't let you do that, are there any other services available in Australia that let you buy a movie, download it and burn it onto a DVD for use in a standard DVD player?

  • I purchased Atomic Blonde for $10
