  • Oh Naw

  • Saw this being advertised on the cricket yesterday but didn't know if it was a WA only thing or not so didn't bother posting it haha.

    • R U in WA? Maybe other states have it?

      • Yeah I'm in WA, that's why when it hadn't been posted here I figured it was a WA only thing.

    • +3

Bring this to NSW. Take my money. Take all my money.
Hot & Spicy chicken. Not the other stuff.

      • You can go to the one across townhall CBD. 24/7 hot n spicy there

        • Might take a two hour trip to town hall station just for this.

Been craving kfc for ages and none in my area (blue mountains).

  • +5

    Fingers crossed VICTORIA!

    • +3

Just FYI you can get H&S all year round at KFC Victoria Gardens in Richmond. It's worth the drive, I go occasionally to get some.

      • i had heard this but thought it was just an urban legend

        • 100% true, only reason I suggest going there for a movie after work instead of the local

  • +9

    Wish this be NATIONWIDE

  • -5

KFC…contributing to obesity in Australia for fifty years.

  • +1

Called kfc ashfield sydney nsw, this isn't starting tomorrow so I would say it's only WA

  • +3

When is hot and spicy coming back?! What's with WA having it and not the rest of Australia. Can't they just make it a regular menu item. That's all I have wanted since I was 6 years old!

    • +1

Move to QLD, problem solved, we've always had it.

      • That's worse! Two states that have it. I thought it was QLD not WA that had it for years

    • H&S all year round in Qld (major stores mostly due to stock storage)

      (Hehe beaten by Sam )

    • Wait Awhile

    • Being from Perth most my life, it actually blew my mind when I visited Sydney and found out they don't serve hot and spicy over there. You poor poor souls :(

      • A friend who lives in London (who grew up here) comes back to Perth to visit family and to binge on hot & spicy chicken.

  • +4

Ha. Not only does QLD have hot and spicy all the time, we have the 9 pieces for $9.95 deal every single Tuesday.

    • +1

I had no idea that other states were different! Feeling very blessed.

      • Same here! Imagine only having original…

        • Love having KFC in Asia as it's always fresh..much to my devestation KFC in Japan didn't have hot n spicy but some other flavours like hot pepper or something..was such a sad panda :(

        • @KupoHo: have u tried KFC in KL (Bukit Bintang)? BARF! and some reason mountain dew there tested like cough medicine. Also with KKK

        • @ZubatRingo:
Not in Bukit Bintang but I have in other shopping centres in KL and it's always been super fresh! I usually get mine from a smaller shopping centre in Ampang…so good. Think I'll have to get this deal TM..

Was beyond devastated when I realised Japan maccas doesn't do the McSpicy burger :(((

    • That's just rubbing salt into the wounds!

oh ! no obesity and heart ! disease ? here I come.

      • +2

        I meant,

oh no, obesity and heart disease here I come.

no matter how you read it, the colonel will be coming all over my gravy filled grave.

  • +3

Is this part of the Black Fry-Day deals?

  • Anybody think about the reason behind why such offer always in QLD and WA?
    Cost? Market Strategy? or what….

    • +2

isn't the franchise owner different in those states. I remember seeing Pepsi in one state and Coke in another

      • Yes the franchise owners are different.

    • Yeah, the franchisee who owns All of KFC in QLD/WA/NT/TAS + Parts of VIC/NSW/SA has differnt pricing, proecdures and promotions. They do like having value promo's like that deal.

  • What is the difference between "hot" and "spicy"?

Is this better value than an $8 whole BBQ chook, a $2 bottle of spicy sauce, and less risk of heart attack?

    • +1

      yes a lot better value

    • Live a little ;)

  • +1

For any Victorians who are fans of Hot and Spicy, KFC Victoria Gardens do H&S all year round. You can get 9 for $9.95 H&S from them when the promo is on. I live in the South East and it's always worth the drive!

    • I love H&S and live in the South East too, but no, it's never worth the drive :)

    • SE here and that's a bloody drive..

  • this deal never ends in NT.

    • Agreed. If you have the KFC app up here in the NT you are really the one winning. Insane prices there.

      • +1

Yep you can make your own bucket

      • +1

the app has ruined my life ever since i discovered it 3 months ago. Cheap as Chips deal….who needs tuesdays? :/

  • +1

Oh nooo there goes my dirty chicken lunch and dinner.

  • I always get 6 spicy & 3 original (QLD)

    • you can buy 2 large sides for $5
  • +2

My diet is glad this is not in Victoria but i am secretly crying on the inside…

  • -4

This deal is only happening in the bogan states. I'm reliably told that Bogans love fried foods and easier to get them hooked on stuff.

    • +2

I consider myself a learned gentleman and I approve of fried, spicy chicken.

  • I feel overwhelmed with sadness that most parts of Australia need to have seasonal periods for hot'n'spicey, where i'm in the N.T, we have it all year round :(

    staystrongAU #embracethespice

    • +4

Yeah but U have to live in NT

    • +2

Another reason to C U in the NT.

  • I wanted to start getting fitter and diet but I can I can postpone that by 4 weeks…. slurrp

  • I love KFC, but seriously had too much of them recently..

  • +1

:( i need this in VIC

    • +1

Victoria Gardens in Richmond has it on permanently.

      • +1

        thanks brother :]

  • +1

Can't wait for the Big Bash!

  • +1

It a joke that not all states has hot and spicy on the menu. From WA

  • Am I the only one who thinks original is >>>> than hot and spicy?

    • +10

      Weirdo.

  • Lunch sorted! Thanks!

  • +2

Any deal that mentions KFC hot and spicy should be automatically deleted if it's not nationwide. Yep, I'm not salty at all.

    • +1

TAS KFC's normal prices are cheap af!

      • +1

We don't have year round hot and spicy, we get it like once every three years for 4 weeks. Price matters little if the best item on the menu is never there

        • Yeah true, I suppose original ain't too bad mixed with some hot sauce

        • +1

@ZubatRingo: take that back, nothing compares!

        • @tassieeagle: NOT WITH THAT ATTITUDE

    • +2

Just for a bit of insight, but Im fairly sure WA/NT/QLD have hot and spicy year round is that they have the cookers to manage it. You see Spicy/Zingers/Tenders which are all doubled breaded are cooked in Open Fryers as opposed to being pressure fried. Because of this, the stores which sell Spicy year round have more of these Open Fryers than other stores, and as a result, considering Hot and Spicy takes 18 minutes to cook, they can do it all year round. Oh and btw the cost of these Henny Penny fryers are astronomical! Think $50k each to be able to cook ~60-90 Pieces of chicken at once.

      • So hot and spicy, zinger is more 'expensive'to make?

  • Is this in the app? I couldn't seem to find it and got the bacon cricket email instead..

    • Can't see it in the app. In store only it seems

  • Boy and the store manager at Burwood VIC had no idea about this deal and told me the 9 pieces offer ended ages ago. Anyone in VIC can confirm this deal?

    • Only in WA and NT…

  • I'm so sick of warm 'n' oily.
