  • Define bargain? You'll struggle to purchase any under the current spot price.

What type of crypto currency do you want? Where are you located? Do you know how to securely store Crypto currency?

Do you want to hold it long term or trade it?

    Send me a message.

What happened today, Bitcoin (USD) is up 1499 to 9755.80? Must be near a record in finance.

Thus OP should have done it yesterday.

Recommendations: Invest by sound strategies. Stocks, housing… Boring but Crypto did this crazy rise before then crashed for about 3 years straight prior to this year, from memory.

Jan2018 it will hit 18k, then everyone would say should have bought it last year

      • The Bitcoin crashed happened due to the illegal Mt Gox dealings.
Since then, confidence in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies has vanished.

…yet still, Bitcoin soldiered on and has steadily risen back up in value past its previous worth.
So it looks like how, physical goods was displaced by physical gold, which was displaced by physical money, which was displaced by credit cards…. now BitCoin (and only BitCoin, not Etherium or other cryptocurrencies for around a decade) now BitCoin will displace credit cards.

It's basically the future, driven by technology.
It makes sense to invest in it, but invest carefully.
You definitely don't want to spend $90 Million on two pizzas (or ~10,000 Bt's).

I heard it's still getting used for illegal activities such as money washing

          @cisco:
          Doesn't matter.
The US Dollar is used much higher in total value and in percentile for illegal activities. Should we all just out-right ban the US Dollar?

Cryptocurrency is a tool. And like any tool it can be used by both evil and good men, for both good and evil deeds.
Just like car accidents are one of the biggest factors of death, yet, we do not outlaw the automobile tool.

Companies and Governments will find ways to mitigate exploiting cryptocurrencies for illegal purposes, the largest of all being: tax evasion. At the early stages this means banning cryptocurrencies outright from the country, but if it does get too large/popular, it will become powerful because The People would have instilled it with power. And once it is too powerful, the government will not be able to ban it. They will have to negotiate to bring it into the fold/the market, and creating methods to stop tax evasion (and maybe other illegal things too maybe).

BitCoin is not large and powerful enough to force itself into the market yet, and there is a window of opportunity (which is diminishing every second) of the US Government to stop/ban it from the market. However, Bitcoin (from what I can tell) will soon become (in few years) very powerful, and become a legitimised as a proper stock/currency form. Etherium is next in line, but it is still far from the popularity, stability, and value of BitCoin. If BitCoin does, it will pave the way for Etherium and other cryptocurrencies. However, if BitCoin is blocked/banned/destroyed… then you can forget about Etherium and other cryptocurrencies becoming anything else besides a "side barter".

PS: I've been keeping my eye on BitCoin, and when the crash happened, I was like "aha! told you, its a ponzi scam"… but it recovered quite stably, so I was actually proven wrong, even though I seemed correct at first. I've been wanting in on the crypto-action since late last year, but electricity prices are too high for me to mine Etherium. I don't have much of a savings (thanks OzB haha) but I've been trying to save up for a Wedding/Travel/House Deposit. Also want to have some savings into physical Bars of Silver, much more stable than the economy and value always increases steadily. It would be idiotic of me to invest my actual cash directly into Etherium… just too risky. But then again, nothing ventured nothing gained, right?

        • @Kangal: Thanks mate well explained.

        • @cisco: If people are using BTC and other cryptos like XMR to hide their electronic transactions from the government then I WANT IN, you understand how valuable that utility is?

I've got NXT, Iota, ADA and POWR. Going well for me.

    • which exchanges do you use?

      • Coinspot for now, Binance currently getting verified. About to start using a Ledger Nano S for offline. The coins I've mentioned have done well today.

        • I made a spreadsheet for tracking performance on 21 different cryptocurrencies a few weeks back. Just updated it with todays values - if I'd put $111k into the currencies I selected on Nov 5, it would today be worth $238k.

        • Save 50 cents here, save 50 cents there, then you have 1 dollar. Then you go to the dollar store, buy something else.
          Be a man.

    • can i take you up on that price in feb next year?

  • +2

    @TA where are you?
Can you get us some discount code?

  • Deal? if there was a 'deal' to buy a crypto for under spot price people would be arbing it, not telling you about it on a forum.
Just send it to Bitfinex and place a market order some BTC, there is no slippage with 100k, dude.

  • BitCoin? Meh… a guy from Westpac advised against it. Told me that if you want a high yeild investment, better off sinking your $100k into a prestige Mercedes Benz…

  • POWR and CANYA are some new Australian blockchain companies. INS Ecosystem ICO looks interesting too

    • Ummmmm interesting. Thanks
