Any idea which phone brand carries international warranty? I know Samsung does not cover overseas repairs on their mobiles purchased here. Intend to gift it for someone staying in Singapore, getting the phone here.
Android based is only, not considering iOS.

Thought of buying online from sg shops but they will be here for holidays and I would like to present them with a physical gift as opposed to sending it to their place after they return back
You could always buy a grey import from a SG based shop. They'd have local warranty in SG. Save some money while you're at it.

Heaps of phone shops in Singapore. Buy one from there and set their address as the delivery address.
Just check as well that a phone from Australia will be compatible with what ever network is used there.
Either way, if they have an issue with the phone, just get them to send it back to you.
