Decathlon Australia - Grand Opening 5th of Dec, Thoughts?

Decathlon Australia just announced on their Facebook page their grand opening will be on the 5th of December, next Tuesday. It will be their first store in Australia opening up in Sydney at Tempe next to Ikea.

What are your thoughts? Have your purchased their sporting items before from Europe? Do you reckon it's a good time leading up to Christmas and summer?

    Probably. In addition to all the normal gift-shopping leading up to Xmas, lots of fitness-related New Year's Resolutions to serve too.

    I love Decathlon, when I was living in Europe it was the only place to find good quality, really cheap equipment for less popular sports eg. Rock climbing, Shame I also moved out of Sydney

    The more competition in this space the better.
    Decathlon have some really good quality 'homebrands' for the price.

    They're not called the "ALDI of sport" for nothing. I always make it a point of visiting their store in City Square Mall every time I'm in Singapore.
