Refund with Jetstar

Hello,

I have à problem concerning à refund with Jetstar Airways and I need à little help here.

I recently booking 2 flights with Jetstar, one from Phillipines to Bali the 6 of December and another one from Bali to Melbourne the 14 of December.

Due to the volcano condition in Bali I have to cancel my holidays, but Jetstar doesn't want to refund me.

The first flight is marked as non operational and the only way to get à refund is to accept their refund by credit voucher!
The second flighty is marked as operational and they told me that they won't refund me unless this flight is canceled but I won't be there because they canceled my first flight!

I'm not interested by their credit voucher and I'm pretty sure they can refund me on my credit card but as English is not my native language, I'm having à hard time finding arguments against them.

Did some of you have already had to deal with Jetstar for a case similar and have you been able to get a refund?

    Don't wast your time with Jetstar - they are hopeless when it comes to customer service/after sales support. Lodge here - explain the circumstances and Jetstar should crumble.

    • Thanks for your answer, I created a complaint. Hope it will be fine since the processing delay is 20 days and my flight is in 5 days.

      • Shouldn't matter - maybe facebook Jetstar and advise you have lodged a complaint with the advocate and you wish for them to put the flight on hold or something, that way they might just refund you before it escalates.

  • Are you still able to fly to Bali on a later date?

    • No, at least not from Australia and Jetstar is not available on my origin country

      • Not even if the flight is delayed for the 7th or 8th?

        • There is not flights before the 9, so that's like less than 3 days in Bali, not worth it :/

    I had the same issue and complained until they gave me a full refund. You just need to annoy them enough until they give in, trust me it works.

    • I will do it once I come back home!
