Dell XPS 13 to VGA Monitor

Hey i've got a VGA monitor which i want to connect to a XPS 13. I've got a vga to hdmi, so basically i only need a usb c cable right? The one dell sells is around $50, so i was wondering if any usb c to hdmi cable would work.

        You mention an XPS 13, and assume everyone know what it is.
        I filled any knowledge gap.

    You could try that, if that doesn't work just return it.
