Super happy with the massdrop pair and warranty. My headset came with a rattle in the right side so I contacted support and they are sending me a brand new one free of charge and I can keep the faulty one! Very pleased. Oh and the headset sounds good to :P

The headset in OP is the same as this but with an additional soundcard. Also, the 8 hours left on the drop is a lie, Massdrop are constantly selling this headset.
How does 7.1 in a pair of headphones work…
Its virtual 7.1, connects to your computer using a USB port and simulates 7.1 from the 2 headset speakers. I have the astro a50's and the virtual surround sound is pretty impressive. But it wont compare to a true surround sound system for watching movies

Uhh… If you did your research then you'll find that the PC37X is a revised PC373D made exclusively for Massdrop by Sennheiser. The main thing that was removed was the virtual 7.1 surround sound and instead the PC37X is using the same drivers as the HD598 and HD600.

they’ve culled USB-based DAC (and amplifier) not just drivers. Isn’t 3D sound very important in FPS games?
