KitchenAid KSM170 $479 + Shipping @ Catch

100

Long time lurker and first time poster, let me know how I can contribute better to our page :)

Been looking for a stand mixer and came across COTD Catch which I believe is a good price for KitchenAid Mixers.
I believe the pricing is due to unpopular colors (Blueberry and Plumberry), but hey for this price I reckon its worth it.

You can also claim a bonus attachment via https://www.kitchenaidpromotions.com.au/stand-mixer/stand-mi… if you purchase before 24th Dec.

Enjoy

  • That's weird - these normally come with 2 x stainless steel bowls… This has 1 x glass bowl

EDIT - Sorry i was looking at the KSM160

    • The glass bowl is considered a premium option.

      GREAT deal OP.

  • Heres a comparisons link for the different models: KSM150 vs KSM160 vs KSM170
    https://kitchenaid.com.au/product-comparison/compare?tid=1&n…

From what I gather it seems you cannot use the KSM170 for commercial purposes otherwise it would void all warranty and it only comes with a 4.7L Glass bowl

I think the steel bowls are worth like $80-100 various models

Myers EBay had the KSDM160 for $699 which equates to $559 after eBay 20% off.
Plus if you had the AMEX paypal $40 cashback offer and paid with that, plus logged it with Cashrewards 1% CB ($6.99) it would've made the KSM160 and better purchase at about $512 which includes 2 different steel bowls

But I guess if you don't care too much about that clause on commercial use nor the steel bowl nor the colour nor the 12mth warranty only at COTD instead of the normal 5yr warranty, then it would be a good gift for the wives or mums.

  • +1

This comes with only 12 month warranty (All refurbished KitchenAid mixers on COTD comes with 1 year and brand new ones usually have 5 years warranty)
This mixer has 5 years warranty at David Jones and Myer

    • Good point, it wasn't labeled as refurbished on the item though, plus you are able to claim a bonus attachment (which I don't think you can do with refurb ones).
However I agree the warranty period is sketchy

  • Interesting about the warranty even the add says. Also is a 300 watt motor enough?

    5 YEAR MANUFACTURER WARRANTY
5 years parts and labour against manufacturers faults for household use only

  • Hate the glass bowl…
