I bought an Optus IPhone SE prepaid for a relative which comes with a $50 ‘bonus sim’. Anyone any experience with this? I haven’t opened the packaging yet. How can you activate the credit and how long is it valid for? My folks are visiting from overseas for 6 weeks so was hoping this would last for more than 30 days (they will not use more than 500Mb and hardly any calls).

Thanks. I thought those options would only be available when recharging but if you’re saying you can pick and choose when activating the sim as well, that’s great. You can slam your head into your desk, but I think the wording ‘$50 bonus sim’ (makes it sound as if you were getting 2 sims) and ‘$50 bonus credit’ can be interpreted in many ways.
