iTunes Refunds

Recently I had some iTunes refunds for unintended purchases for IAPs, for things going up to $500. Has anyone issued refunds from Apple that have been over the $1000 mark? These apps that charge outrageously ridiculously high IAPs are just plain evil, you could buy a few games and a PS4!

I wonder how an in-app purchase can be unintended to be honest. You receive an explicit confirmation before a charge occurs which is very often followed by a password prompt.

Are you under the age where you understand the concept of purchases?

Are you under some mental disability?

If neither, what are you complaining about?

  • I think there was a news article about a child who did this with there parents account and unknowingly spent hundreds of dollars. Apple refunded AFAIK.
Is this what happened to you? Otherewise I'm quite sure how you can accidentally spend $500 even with outrageous IAPs

    • More like the OP spent purposefully to make a refund, so he could ultimately gain a benefit without spending anything.

      aka gacha/lootbox/premium currency

IIRC google play billing doesn't divulge personal information (so they can't track down and remove currency) and I think it is the same for apple, so the developer would just get a statement with more general information, debits/credits and by country.
