Liquid Ears Slider Headphones-Any Good for Gaming?

G'day bargainers,
Just purchased these from Big W just before my afternoon shift, a bit of one of those buys where I didn't have as much time as I should have to do proper bargain shopping, they didn't seem to have a section for gaming headsets at the Brisbane city Big W and the bloke at tech department was friendly but completely clueless. Here's the link to the product (sort of):

https://www.bigw.com.au/product/crest-liquid-ears-slider-hea…

…for some reason the ones above and any scant mention online (no reviews) doesn't show that they've got "In-line Mic, Music and Volume control" on them as well. I basically bought them intending to look on Google later and return them unopened if I found bad reviews-but I can't find any reviews at all. There's reviews for some wireless headphones Liquid Ears make but none for this product.

Any opinions on them would be much appreciated. I'm basically looking for some el cheapo headset/earphones with mic to use for PS4 gaming; I've got an old decent Turtle Beach headset in a box somewhere at home but haven't found where I've left em yet.

Looking on the website I found these with a decent review and they'd probably do the job:

..but I'd probably have to go to a different Big W than the one I'll have to return these to.

I'd like to rip open the box and get going tonight but if they're definitely useless than I'd rather not waste the $18 they cost me.

cheers mates, happy bargaining..
