My Xiaomi gateway seems to be playing up although I don't know what the Chinese lady is saying…
I'm trying to add a wireless button so I'm holding the reset button for 3 seconds and then at the end of the 3 seconds I release the button. Nothing happens…sometimes there is no voice either.
Anybody encountered such an issue? I only have about 10 devices connected to the gateway so have no idea what's going on…
Any tips or pointers would be great
I have just added 13 devices to mine. You hold the reset button on the device you are adding until it’s light blinks 3 times.
yeh I've added quite a few devices. All is working fine now. Not sure why it was not adding that night, the next day it added fine with me doing absolutely the same thing. As you both said, pressing the reset button until 3 flashes. I was doing this via the app too. Not sure what happened….could have been an issue with the chinese servers??
i thought we use US(singapore svr?)

Press the button underneath the gateway 3 times quickly. You should hear a Chinese voice. Then hold down the pin on the device you want to add for 4s, then wait. Then you should see item in the app under default room after you restart the app.
If there's no voice, perhaps the lady is out for lunch?
Are you adding the wireless button through the app? As far as I'm aware, you hold in the reset button on the switch (a small light may flash) and then you add the device through the mi home app to connect it to the gateway.
