Also ran Battle Royale game H1Z1 is going free-to-play with a "Free-to-play Week!" starting December 14th.

If you buy the game during the free period you will lose 75% less than if you bought it at full price and naturally any progress is kept. Currently price is 20 Yankee Dollars.

Unfortunately it appears you cannot download the game for free before the promotion starts.

      H1z1 in oce regions is dead.
      They added ping locking to h1z1 which means players are basically stuck on their regions servers.

      I spent 45 minutes waiting in a lobby to play.

      Free weekend has no use to OCE players.

        oh thats a shame.

        Looking at game play it looked a bit more refined that PubG. I still dont know how pretty much any shooter (BF1/4, Destiny etc) with actually good Shooting mechanics and game play haven't created a similar game mode and just killed it.

        I would love to play a BF1 version of Battle royal.

          Not sure what you mean by game play but it's basically an arcade shooter like Fortnite BR but without the wackiness and gather resources and building. Find guns in 5 seconds, point and shoot, run to circles.

      Feels a bit more basic than PUBG. Had fun with it earlier but wouldn't really go back to it from PUBG
