Saw this while browsing Amazon for a new book to read over the Christmas break.

This book has won quite a few awards and seems very popular among sci-fi/fantasy readers and websites.

  Really great book - start of one of the best speculative fiction series I've ever read. Not your elves and dragons style - completely original and quite a bit darker. Jump on this if you like stuff that tends toward literary over easy reading.
