  I would rather a 128GB samsung ssd, but this has very quick reads for a USB stick !

    You can buy UASP USB 3.0 enclosure ~$14 and 256GB SATA SSD eg Sandisk SSD Plus $109 MSY cheaper

    120GB is ~$70

        Right but USB stick performance is considerably worse than SSD over UASP.

        @Diji1: This is also SSD over UASP. Not really disagreeing with your earlier option… I have an mx300 in an m.2 enclosure and it's great. This is for a different kind of person.

    It gets a bit warm, but it's not near as bad as the Samsung metallic bar one.

  I have the 128GB version of this, the metallic colour. I have to warn you, the mechanism is very flimsy and will eventually break and quite easily too, leaving you unable to retract or extend it.
