Cheap Qualifications to Make One Applicable for Concession Cards

Does anyone know of any tertiary qualifications (assuming CERT1 or similar) you could sign up for in order to save 50% (or, just under 1k a year if you use public transport 2x a day, 5 days a week) on Myki costs?
Even if you were only just breaking even, it would be a great way to attain extra skills/training for 'free'.

How about you obtaining higher learning for the purposes of …you know….learning, rather than for cheap transport?

Each place you take in a tertiary learning institution costs the Australian Taxpayer money and takes away a spot from another person who genuinely has skin in the game to improve themselves further than saving 50% on the bus.

Why couldn't it be both? I'm not talking about a physical spot in a class room, rather an online (email) based course. I'm asking to see if there might be something I would find both useful to my development and also save me money (or break even).

I think your first course should be in google searching

Unfortunately, unless it is full time, face to face, and an undergraduate degree, it won't qualify you for transport concessions

Disappointing, wasn't aware of this. Thanks for linking.

Oh now you've lost interest in your development?

LOL, sounds like you could teach a course in Sarcasm 101.

        • As I said above I was looking for something that would reduce my PT costs, and offer some personal/professional development. So yes, I have 'lost interest'.
That was so witty though, well done!

Enrol in a course, get a uni ID and a PT concession card then quit before census date and you won't pay a thing.
