GearBest keep cancelling my orders

No matter what payment i used, PayPal, and 3 credit cards. GearBest always cancels my orders without an explanation.

I tried to contact customer service and their answers are the same, that my Paypal and CC aren't valid which in this case they are
I message them on Facebook, left negative feedback on review website, they have the same reply to me, just like it was copied and pasted right from a QnA list

Anyone has the same problem?

Why do you keep going back to a store who is not interested in your business?

    • I'm not buying from them anymore, I'm just so mad that I have to find out what sh*t they're doing

create a new account with a different email, see if that solves your issue.

    • Tried that and failed

has your cc been renewed? ie. needing updated expiry date etc. …???

    • I used 3 different credit cards, PayPal
I contacted PayPal and they said my account is fine

  • left negative feedback on review website,

No wonder they're cancelling you orders.

    • Did you even read? I left negative feedback after they canceled my orders without reasons and their customer support didn’t help me

      • We did.

ferragamo cancelled two of our orders without a reason not long ago. We assumed that there was a problem with the payment gateway and left it at that. There was no reason for us to leave a negative feedback for something so trivial.

They just had a sale recently. We ordered a similar item and they delivered it yesterday as promised.

Our experience with gearbest have been good with their cheap prices and prompt delivery times.

  • Have you ever filed a dispute or a chargeback with them? Did they give you the option to pay with Western Union or a bank transfer?

  • I have filed dispute before but with no other website. So PayPal share these kind of information with their parties?

    • *other

    • I believe online companies like Gearbest employ chargeback insurance companies that track this information to protect themselves from buyers who start PayPal disputes and initiate chargebacks.

      • So my name my address and my PayPal are now blacklisted? How ridiculous is this :(

I don't know what the circumstances were when you lodged your previous dispute.

Chargebacks are not taken lightly by stores because it takes the decision out of their hands and costs them extra money.

They're meant to be used by customers as a last resort for matters such as fraud and dishonest behavior. But it seems like so many people are just jumping to that sort of action without even trying to come up with a mutual solution with the seller first. I wouldn't be surprised if the banks started tightening up their rules relating to chargebacks soon.

I have the same problem. Frustrating!

The cause of this is if you've opened a dispute before, any order associated with the PAYPAL email that disputed a transaction will get cancelled.

Hence why some users experience the same issue when using a new GB email but use thst same PayPal.

  • I don't recall ever opening a dispute , certainly not with GearBest. Surely they would have no way of knowing if I have opened a dispute with someone else in the past
