Looking for a Relatively Cheap but Still Good Quality 4K TV

Hi guys,

Looking to buy a second 4K tv for my bedroom ā€“ maximum size around the 40inch mark. I've found the following (and interest free on the purchase is a definite plus):

https://www.harveynorman.com.au/samsung-43-series-6-mu6100-4ā€¦

Will mainly be used for Xbox and streaming when I'm not in the home theatre room. I've stuck with Samsung for a lot of things and never had complaints.

Any suggestions for alternatives or do you think this is good for the price?

Thanks in advance :)

  • 55" N7 Hisense. It's on around 950 on GoodGuys Ebay. Yes I realise you say 40" but nobody has ever complained about an extra 15"…

    • It's more of actually fitting it in the space where it'll be standing - otherwise yeah I'd go for a bigger size. 60 inch is in the home theatre room.

      Thanks anyway!

Refurb Soniq 42" for only $299 at JB. Or if you are set on that particular Samsung buy it for $100 less from Seconds World (still brand new, not seconds).

I have the non-UHD model before this, the i20. Its a LG panel, paid roughly $500 for it, and for the price point and quality its no issue. Not sure on local stock as im OS. Played just cause 3 in 4K on my gtx980 and colours are great.

    I reckon it'll last another 2 years.

my model doesnt have a vesa mount, which i think you should probably consider if its a second monitor for a bedroom.

Cheap 4k TV… isn't that like saying that 100kg of potatos are heavier than 100kg of feathers…

  • Got the 50 inch Hisense N7 with an Xbox One X. Bloody gorgeous panel! Probably the best bang for buck tv available.

  • 4K seems like overkill for 40ā€, that said, Iā€™m not sure how close you would be sitting :)

  • You don't need a second TV.
