  • Are they good car seats? I was recently looking at the Millenia SICT..

    • +1

I have 2 Millenia and highly recommend them.

      • +1

Also very happy with the millennia

        • Also happy with Millennia, just not too sure about the head support for newborn. Does anyone have any suggestions?

        • For newborn support the 0-4 seats come with an infant insert that you remove as they get bigger. I haven't used the Millina from birth but the inserts look comfy to me.

I would recommend the Millenia as you can rear face longer. The Millenia you can rear face until 2-3 years and this seat its 6-12 months. Rear facing longer is safer. I have a Millenia and very happy with it (though it is deep rear facing for longer so worthwhile trying in your car first). I'm not sure about comparing these seats for forward facing mode. They are very different price range and could be good option for a car that is used less for a child.

Seriously, your kids are not going to want to do rear facing after 12-18 months. They will be kicking and screaming. How long did you have your kids rear face for?

      • +2

Risks far outweigh the inconvenience. We'll be keeping our child rear facing as long as possible, not as long as he finds it annoying.
We just bought the Britax Millenia ourselves.

      • My son is 2 yrs and 3 months rear facing happily in the Millina :-) We went through a stage early one where I thought I should turn to forward facing but it was probably more a reflection of not wanting to be strapped in at all. The greater recline rear facing looks more comfy to be honest. Also have the Britax Slimline for the micro car and he is still rear facing in that too ( though less comfy).

  • I think I will stick with the Millenia, waiting on a sale!!

    • They are on sale already!

      • $437/$438 is looking like the standard price at the moment, i'd still be happy to pay that but if I can get it cheaper by March I will be much happier :)

        • You are right they are often on sale for around that price, but I haven't seen much cheaper. Babies R Us have 10% price beat policy so that may be an option to get one for under $400.

        • @tranter: Yep, that's how I bought mine.

        • That was the standard price when we bought ours last week, after watching them for the last 6 months.
Could always go and spend the full rrp of $650+ at David Jones though? (how they sell anything has me wondering).

Would have gone with the babies'r'us price match, but we received a fair few baby bunting gift cards for the baby shower.

        • Babies r us are being sneaky selling for $437.99 so hopefully I can find someone to sell for atlease $437 because everywhere else is selling $438 - where did you find yours @sagrules?

  • I was looking for a car seat but didn't know which ones … Millenia it is … thanks!

  • What model would you recommend for intermittent use e.g. in grandparents car?

  • +1

A great cheaper seat which can rear face for longer is the Baby Love Ezy switch ( $200 full price). Its parent company is Britax if you are wondering about quality. I just check a FB car seat group and many people commented that the mothers choice seat are hard to use - though many people recommend Baby love ( Hipod Kansas from Target is a rebranded Ezy Switch).
