      With ssm watch the ivf bills hit medicare as couples want kids but not have sex with other than their same gender partner … You wouldn't want to promote infidelity in marriage.

        Is there any evidence / papers that show this? Marriage or "civil union" shouldn't make any difference in the desire of wanting children, or increase in homosexuality rates.

        There probably won't be any significant increase in cost due to SSM, but rather the gradual increase in age when Australians are wanting children.

    Im a parent and there is only so much money you can you spend on yourself and buying more crap doesnt make you happy for long.

    I get more joy giving to others eg my son than doing stuff for myself.

    I remember more happy moments about my son than great restaurants ive eaten at , holidays ive had or stuff ive bought and sits in the garage.

  Well there are lots of foster kids needing good homes …. depends if the desire is to spawn ones own genes or the interaction with children and helping them develop.
