CryptoCurrency Miners, Which Electricity Provider Are You with? Recommendation for Large Usage?

Hi fellow OzBargainers,

If you are a CryptoCurrency Miner,
Which Electricity provider are you with at the moment?

Any recommendation for large usage amount?

The typical load is 120KWh per day.

Calamvale 4116, no solar panel.

Maybe I should get the solar panel and save?

Thanks.

Which coins are even profitable to mine currently with Australian electricity prices?

    • man has a point. you'll need solar to turn a profit or mine and hodl until the currency's price goes up.

At that stage, you may as well just spend your money on the currency itself and hodl

Ethereum is profitable at the moment.

I pay $1.50 a day (before taking into account my solar panels) to make $2.81 USD in ethereum with 1 x RX580 card. Im not going to get rich with my one card but it does cover the cost of leaving my PC on 24/7.

      • Would you say that Ethereum is more profitable or Ehtereum Classic is better for mining?

        • Not sure sorry mate, I haven't researched it much. I am not well versed in this stuff.

Running a 4xGPU RX580 rig at the moment

Using about 500W, solo mining ETH and undervolting.
      So about 12.5c/hr @ 25c/kWh. (I'm in WA)
      So that's $3/day electricity.

At current ETH rates am mining about US$13/day.
