      Thanks for the update @didelly. That's why I asked sky blu about the resistor because those very cheap ones are usually just a pass through plug without the required 56 kilohm resistor. I can confirm I received the 2 that I ordered last week and they both work. I'm using one with my power bank and the other is a spare. Unfortunately it looks like my deal has expired.
