Samsung Wireless Charger - Fake?

I was just made aware that there's a fake Samsung Wireless Charger out there in the market.

My 2 questions are:

1) If it's branded Samsung, can it be fake?
2) If it's fake, meaning it won't charge as fast or what? What can the genuine one do, but not the fakey one?

  • 1) Yes, anything that you purchase too cheap from the less reputable seller is probably a fake. I have seen this so many times, you can even search the video on YouTube to see the comparison.
    2) Might break your phone, might not be a fast charge as they claimed, might burn your house (purchased fake one on eBay and it started to melt after several uses)

  • 1) lol, I have a iPhone x to sell, real cheap 1k brand new, has apple logo on it………
Fakes these days have logos, even the boxes and manuals in it! Usually if it's too cheap then it's prolly fake

Yes, a lot (if not most) of the cheap eBay ones that claim to be Samsung and have Samsung logos would be fake. Check seller feedback. It's best to buy from authorised retailers.

    2) If it's fake, meaning it won't charge as fast or what? What can the genuine one do, but not the fakey one?

Won't fast charge, and can be a fire risk.

  • i buy my genuine samsung stuff from the UK.
