Gaming PC for Streaming? i7 + 1070 min any suggestions?

Hi Ozbargainers,

My computer died recently and i need a new gaming compute.I want to try streaming so I really only have two must haves:
1. At least i7
2. 1070 graphics card

I haven spoken to streamers who said they had major issues getting ryzen cpus to work with streaming software and capture cards so i do want intel.

I also want VR capable.

The best i have found thus far is below:

Anyone have any better deals or can make any recommendations?

Posting this on phone so I hope this works…

  • I think an 8600k cpu would be more beneficial than that 7700 cpu.

Do you mind building it yourself?

  • I'd go with 8th gen, as the performance increase from 7th to 8th is quite significant.

    • Since you seem to have a pretty high budget, personally i would go with:
      Intel I7 8700k (I have a I7 3770 which is still a beast) The k part being the overclockability
      1070, 1070ti, 1080 or 1080ti, whatever your budget.
If you are going prebuilt, pay attention to the other specification as they might go cheap on them which you do not want.
Make sure you get a ssd or m.2 for at least your boot drive (500 gb if you can afford it as you can install all applications and some games on it) and 2tb hdd since your a streamer to store recordings, other games and such.

I'd personally buy individual parts from the boxing sales and build my pc there which will ensure that the parts purchased are of good quality and gives a sense of control while allowing you to save to a certain degree. Otherwise try to find a prebuilt system on sale.

You could save some serious $ if you find the fault and spend your $ on some upgrades.
