    I'm quite pleased with the sony player…….I got the same deal a few months back.
    Can be networked wireless or wired (you need a sony dongle for wireless) and can stream youtube, iview, etc. Can also read stuff from usb

  for a price point of $150 or less (ie a gift bundle), this is pretty hard to beat.

  It's good for what it is, a decent quality BD player with no frills inclusions. It's image quality is good, but like most cheaper BD players it takes 'forever' to start playing movies.

  So the cnet review is not too clear about a few things.

  Does anyone know if you can play back avi, divx and h264 files with this via the USB?

  Also what is profile 2 which this player is lacking?
