I have been using this brand for 5 years now. Spent over $500 on them.

They feel great and after 200+ washes, the sheets are still in good shape and the zippers are not affected. Just make sure you wash the sheets/pillow cases in 60+ degrees water or you won't eliminate the dust mites and bacteria.

This is one of the best investments you can make to eliminate the symptoms of eczema and hay-fever.

I do mine at 60 should start using 90 degrees instead. Good tip.

  • If you are spending that much on dust mite mattress covers/protectors, then you probably have mite issues. I would probably go in another direction which worked better for friends I know. Take a look at dust mite vacuum cleaners. These can work over your current furniture, sofa, mattress etc. They are less than $100 if sourced from the internet. Maybe try that first, or a combination of the mite covers.

A friend tried the ones from China. It apparently even kills the mites in the process. After the first vacuum they felt the results. Then kept on doing it every week. They previously tried the mite covers. They do work as well. There was some benefit, but not as much as the vacuum, getting rid of the carpet/rugs (if possible), wearing protective clothes and mask before cleaning the house etc.

A good regime is important. I would second 60+ degrees water, hot sun, dryer etc. The vacuum can even be used over clothes etc. Good luck to your new health!

  • I vacuum mattress and pillows when I change sheets - simple and effective
