$4.99 for very old movies locked down with Apple DRM…no wonder people pirate.

    • You seem to be under the odd impression that $4.99 is a lot of money. Can you find the films cheaper elsewhere without breaking copyright law?

$4.99 is a lot of money

It is when your purchase can only be used on over priced Apple products.

At least you can play a DVD/Bluray on any brand player. With this your locked in.

Can you find the films cheaper elsewhere without breaking copyright law?

Who cares? Not me, and certainly not the majority of Australians under 40.

        • You're under 40 and think a blu ray player is more convenient than instant streaming for any computer, smart TV or portable device? How are you locked down to Apple products when you can just sync with Movies Anywhere and have the purchase show up in your Google and Amazon account too? As for 'who cares?' about copyright law, I'd say a lot more people than pre-2016 when the government made it law that ISPs must track, record and report illegal downloading, keeping records for 25 years. Good luck with your antiquated ideas, I'm happy to spend the $4.99. Looking forward to the free 4K upgrades through iTunes as they become available too.

No, I think a format that can be played on any device makes a lot more sense. Also, they can be ripped and streamed from a personal NAS.

How are you locked down to Apple products when you can just sync with Movies Anywhere and have the purchase show up in your Google and Amazon account too?

All of which are also riddled with DRM. Therefore, you never truely own your purchases.

ISPs must track, record and report illegal downloading, keeping records for 25 years.

Lol. They must store IP addresses, not downloads. They also do not need to monitor or report anything. IPs is only relevant for torrents (which can easily avoided with a VPN). However, most people don't use torrents any more, so there's no risk from the pointless 2016 laws. Seems you been fooled by the Foxtel fear campaign BS.

Good luck with your antiquated ideas

          Lol.

Looking forward to the free 4K upgrades through iTunes as they become available too.

          Lol.

        • @PainToad: So 3 out of 5 of your arguments are 'lol' and one is just plain wrong and laughably naive about the information now being stored by ISPs in Australia. Ok, well they say ignorance is bliss, looks like you're the living proof. Enjoy!

A lot of these are in JB’s 3 for 20 which comes down to $16 for 3 if you like physical products

  • There is a dedicated page on iTunes with all of the titles available. Confusingly is the inclusion of a title rated PG, called Lajja.
