Who Are You Trading / Buying / Selling Alt Coin with?

As Coinspot have stopped taking AUD deposits, what other options are available for Aussies looking to trade / buy / sell alt coin?

  • Good question. I'm hloding, so I can't really use coinspot.

    btcmarkets to buy
    bittrex to trade to alts
    nano ledger to hodl

    • Exactly the same here

    • How much does BTCmarkets charge to send your coins to Bittrex?

    • Hey - I bought my crypto with BTC Markets - can I not sell with them ? Can I ask why you buy with BTC and sell with someone else ?

  • I used Coinbase to buy LTC, transferred it to CoinSpot and then used the LTC in CoinSpot to buy other altcoins.

Now I'm looking into Poloniex for altcoins, since Coinspot has halted deposits.

  • I use Coinbase to buy LTC with AUD then transfer it to binance and do my trading there

    • Doesn't Coinbase charge $30 to send coin?

      • Coinbase sends are free via GDAX (incl. BTC/ETH). Look into it, it's definitely worth it.

      • Same here - Coinbase to buy btc/eth with AUD, transfer to gdax (free) then free transfer to local wallet or bittrex/binance to get altcoin. Coinbase purchase fees are high, but overall I've found them better value compared to using local exchange/brokers as btc/eth is cheaper….

  • Wasnt trading in AUD all Coinspot really had going for them? Why stop on your only selling point?

    • though they say they are not receiving money today my money credited to coinspot and i bought some digital currency .cheers

  • btcmarkets, coinbase, binance for me at the moment.

  • "As Coinspot have stopped taking AUD deposits"

That sounds highly unlikely. Are you sure?

There has been unprecedented demand for digital currencies in Australia this year and that has continued to accelerate during the last few months. To continue our safe, stable and secure operations CoinSpot is making some changes to its AUD deposit options.

Effective today, customers will not be able to make instant AUD deposits (POLi) between 6pm AEST Fridays and Midnight on Sundays.

Effective Monday December 4, daily AUD deposit limits are being reduced for all customers to $5,000 per weekday. The weekday limit for new customers will drop down to $500 during their first week and the ongoing limit will be $2,000.

Independent Reserve is another option for AUD deposits/purchases.
