Does anyone have experience with WatchDirect?

I'm looking to buy a watch and found the site Watchdirect.com.au, their prices look really competitive and the site seems legit, but outside of FB I can't find much online about them at all.

Just wondering what people's experiences are like, or if there are other watch alternatives.

  • At least the website doesn't just have bank transfer as a payment method, so I think it could be legit. Some of the feedback on eBay was implying that they weren't sure if their watch was genuine. I think it could be okay however… I wouldn't buy from them, particularly if it was an expensive model.

  • just stick with star jewel.
    or
    https://www.watches2u.com/

    • Watches2u don't have the brand I'm looking at (Hamilton) but otherwise look decent.

I couldn't find anything on star jewel?

  • Chrono24? Much better alternative and gives you access to private sellers and stores worldwide. Prices are very competitive.

Search function is fantastic as well, you can search by ref number so you know you're getting the exact model you're after, either pre-owned or new etc.

Not sure which Hamilton you're after but you can find the Khaki Field Auto (mechanical movement, not Quartz) in the ~$450aud range plus postage (much cheaper than RRP). Just make sure you use a 'Trusted Checkout' seller and you're set. Depending on where you're buying it could take a few weeks to get to you, but in most cases you can call the seller directly and organise express shipping etc.
