What to Do about a Face Cream Scam

On 29/10/17 I purchased a jar of Lutrevia Youth face cream which I paid only $5.11 AU as an introductory offer. On 29/11/17 I received another jar of this cream which I had not ordered this time costing me $140.03 AU. Does anyone know how to put a stop to this scam. They have hundreds of negative blogs, a lot of people saying the only way to stop further deliveries is to delete my credit card & purchase another credit card, but this would be very inconvenient. Please help.

Was there a T+Cs that stated you were agreeing to a recurring order that will be automatically charged to your card?

I tried finding the website that the offer would be from , but MalwareBytes blocked it, LOL. Says a bit.

    • Just Google Lutrevia Cream. What is a T+C?

      • I did Google it, clicked on the link, took me to a page telling me all about the benefits, etc, clicked on the buy now link and my malware protector blocked the page.

        T+C is terms and conditions.

You may have inadvertently clicked on a 'yes, keep sending me this sh!t' checkbox somewhere in the checkout process. Don't worry, I bet they buried it as deep as possible to avoid you seeing it.

Don't cancel your credit card. Contact the offending company and say you want a refund for the unwanted product, and for them to stop charging you for new ones. If they fail to follow clear instructions, contact your bank for a charge back form for the credit card. Yes, it will require a bit of work from you, but you'll be satisfied to know every charge back is a black mark against the business, and it costs the business far more than they got out of you. You usually have 45 days after a statement is released to challenge a payment.

    • I have emailed them to stop sending me this crap face cream, if they send another one I will take your advice Cluster & contact bank for a charge back form.

They will keep sending them to you and charging you. The return address on the package probably isn’t real so you can’t even return it to sender. They won’t reply or even check their emails or phone messages. Do the charge back for the first $140 now

        • How good of a scam would it be get it returned to a family member "who has no idea why these keep turning up to them" rofl

It's important to remembner that any facial creams are cosmetic only. However a whole space exists, mainly occupied by some of the largest brands in the world, where consumers are duped into believing that creams have anti-aging properties.

There is no such thing. You are essentially just applying a layer of oil which is cosmetic only.

There are things I am aware of that actually reduce the appearance of ageing:

-gently washing face everyday (ph balanced cleanser such as Dove Beauty Bar or soap is as good anything else as far as cleansing).

    -botox - it works

    -plastic surgery

    • I’m a guy. I have patches on my face that go red and flaky if I don’t use basic moisturiser, so I’d count that in too

  • Lutrevia Youth face cream

Is the cream working and are you happy with what you see?

I would say the customer is very unhappy as they are being charged for a product they did not willingly order. Doesn't really matter if it works or not.

    • No I still have wrinkles!

    • No the cream is not working, still have wrinkles!!

      • Let us know when you find the cream that cures wrinkles

  • Whenever you sign up for something like this, use a prepaid visa that only has a small amount left.
This is how I got a free Lootcrate and had them hassling me because they couldn’t deduct the money for the next box.

    • Good idea Super Kami Dende but I won't be signing up for anything else like this in the future

    • What's a loot crate?

      • Random pop culture junk that gets sent to your door once a month for $40 a pop
