Things to Buy for School and from Where?

My girl is starting her kindy (public school) after a month, we have bought few items like school bag, dress, hat, jacket from her school but things like shoe etc pending.

Looking for some inputs from other parents as what else we will need to buy (may be some personalised name label?) And from where?

Sounds like you've already got the bare basics - rather than trying to pre-empt, why not wait until she actually starts school and let the school tell you what she needs? There'll be lots of first-timer parents who will be in the same position as yourself.

may be some personalised name label?

You can get those Brother or Dynamo labelling machines for quite cheap from coles/officeworks. Just be careful though - they're like computer printers in that the machine is cheap, but the actual refill labels cost a lot.

School shoes in Australia cost an outrageous amount.
Try Next or Marks and Spencer for shoes.
    That's about $80 saved !

  • The school will probably send you a list of what to buy. You may need coloured pencils, exercise books, things like that

  • Our school puts class requirements in the last newsletter of the year. Maybe check the school website for newsletters to see if yours do the same :)
