    Not too sure about Amex.

Cashrewards is basically you shop at a listed online store and you receive a percentage back of what you purchased. It takes some time for cashback to be approved.
Theres like a one minute video on their website explaining this better.

To take advantage of Amex cashback offers you need to have an Amex card. They have monthly offers some great some not to great. So for example recently they offered a Harvey Norman one where if you spend $400 on your American Express credit card you get $100 cashback onto your credit card. They are often targeted though so may vary depending on type of amex and spending patterns. Cashrewards on the other hand is just a website referral where if you sign up and click onto the merchant listed on cashrewards.com.au (instead of going directly to the merchant website), you get a % rebate if you buy items. I have both, use both and recommend both.

  • I have a westpac altitude black amex or does it have to be a proper full blown American express card?

Ok thanks i will look into the cash rewards.

    • Any AMEX card will give you access to the monthly offers, which you can enrol in online by providing your card details, but as mentioned previously, some offers may be targeted and you won't have access to these ones

    • Sometimes it is for all types of AmEx cards, other times it is only for AmEx issued ones. The Harvey Norman one was for all AmEx cards. However, you have to register for each separate offer before spending the money or you won’t get the rebate.
