  As fitting the $19.95 price, battery life is bad.
  After a few months, needs charging every 2 or so days or it'll run noticeably weak

  Been $20 on Coles before too, if you have flybuy points to spend

    I've replaced mine from oral B when the battery got weak

    Electric toothbrushes are a good investment if you value your teeth… So is flossing

    Had mine for 2 years and 5 days now, at worst needs charging twice a week. YMMV.

      I've had mine for about the same and only charge once a week (although I only use it at night, use normal toothbrush in the morning). Like all batteries, if you charge before they go flat it shortens the battery life. As long as you only charge once the battery dies you shouldn't have to charge it too often.

    My old Oral B electric tooth brush is looking pretty shabby on the rubber grip but it takes AA batteries and so probably goes over a month between charges. That's what puts me off from replacing it with a shiny new one.

    I don't know about the kids ones but if you value your teeth I'd step up a bit. Or if you're coming from manual and want to try them out without too much outlay then sure they're ok. I'd probably go for the cross action one, haven't had one, but do your research on the head refills as they vary in price based on which model you have.

  I wouldn't go below the 5000 series, although mine is 3+ years old now, bought from Myer/DJ sale for ~$70. I've tried cheaper Oral-B ones but they just seem lacking and the heads get destroyed a lot quicker it seems. I haven't seen a reason to upgrade and no use for bluetooth or other smart features.
