Booking Complimentary Domestic Flight with ANZ Rewards Travel Adventures CC

Not quite sure where to put this.

Has anyone ever tried booking a complimentary domestic flight under 60 days before the date you wanted to travel?
Terms and conditions say " Flights must be booked at least 60 days in advance of the date upon which you wish to travel." and I am wanting to book for January 30th.
Has anyone successfully managed to book before?
The call centre isn't open until Jan 2nd for me to try and book.

Also does anyone know if I need to book and fly out before my anniversary date (March 2nd) or can I book for a flight after my anniversary date (but book it before my anniversary date).

SIGH!

TIA

You can fly at any time in the next 11 months as long as you book before your anniversary date. I suppose there is no harm in trying to fly in less than 60 days but be prepared to get rejected. Depending on where you are flying to or from, I also found that availability for the free flights is not fantastic.

You won't be able to book a flight within 60 days. They won't let you.

And can second what the first reply said - availability is rubbish on this flight. It's really restricted - simply finding reward availability on velocity isn't enough like most amex free flights was.

I flew mel-hba with mine, booked the day before flight expired. Not the most valued flight, but could book it when we wanted to go.

  • Okay thanks guys. Looks like I’ll have to book for later in the year! Oh well.

  • I’m from Perth so I’m not sure whether that makes a difference or whether it’s because I book a long way ahead. I booked in June for Perth to Melbourne and got the flights I wanted. This was made trickier because it was Australian Open time, I was also matching it with a paid seat during a sale and also matched it with a frequent flyer seat for my son. Therefore three different methods of booking a seat on the same flight.

I have booked Perth to Sydney return for October 2018.

Terms and conditions are for flights more than 60 days. I think they would be pretty strict. I’ve had my card 13 months and have booked the flights.
    Good luck.
