BOSE QC35 - Does The Phone Need Location Services Turned on in Order to Sync up?

Was just wondering if these headphones need location services turned on, on the phone, in order to sync up?

I am having the issue ATM with my fitbit charge 2 where apparently Google closed a 'security loophole' by requiring location services to be switched on before the fitbit will sync to the phone. (Android 7 and higher I think) I can get around this by syncing the fitbit at the end of the day and turning LS off again.

I am hoping this is not the case with QC's.
